Our Mission:
At Al-Muhsinat, we are more than just an organisation; we are a sisterhood of Muslim women committed to nurturing faith, spirituality, and education of our community. Our aims are deeply rooted in the principles of ‘ilm (knowledge), tarbiya (spiritual nurturing) and khidma (serving humanity). We believe in creating a sisterhood wherein the spiritual ties that formed are unbreakable, weaving bonds through shared experiences, worship, and collective efforts to make positive change in the wider context.
Ihsan as Our Guiding Light:
Ihsan, as the core of our identity, lexically signifies being good, of benefit, gracious, and sincere, and knowing something well. At Al-Muhsinat, we are dedicated to imbuing every aspect of our work with prophetic excellence. We aspire to educate women and girls in a way that goes beyond mere understanding, ensuring they know and embody their knowledge to the highest standard – the pursuit of prophetic excellence.
The Essence of Al-Muhsinat:
Al-Muhsinat, invites you to join a journey of adoring worship and continuous self-improvement to draw nearer to Allah. As Allah tests us through the trials of life, our objective is not just to pass but to excel. This is made known to us in Surat al-Mulk: “He who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed.” Our Prophet’s (saw) hadith emphasises that ihsan is prescribed for all things, reflecting Allah’s act of creation described in Surat al-Sajdah as “The one who created all things in the most beautiful/excellent manner.”
